Offset printing

Enduring dedication to quality print media.

Offset printing allows you to choose from the greatest selection of printing materials. We produce media ranging from DIN A3 to 74×104 cm large format to cover a wide range of high-end printing requirements. We have rationalised our production processes and work in shifts for maximum efficiency and output, producing high-end print media for corporate and financial communications, sophisticated advertising and publicity materials, and art books. Our high-end offset printing facility is centrally located in Birmensdorf (Canton Zurich), premises we share with our joint venture partner J.E. Wolfensberger. We deliver rotary offset work in collaboration with selected partner companies.

PSO/ISO certification for responsible quality: We offer our customers the option of having the production of their printed media CO2 offset. Printlink, the Linkgroup unit specialised in high-end offset printing, is the first printing works in Switzerland to gain Ugra certification in accordance with the PSO/ISO standard for offset printing.

Our print production process is both environmentally-friendly and economically attractive, bringing advantages for everyone involved:

  • long-term quality assurance
  • measurable, verifiable, traceable and reproducible quality
  • greater certainty of achieving a specification-exact result between pre-press and production print
  • cost and time savings during proof run and colour matching
  • process optimisation as potential problems can be identified at an early stage

First, and so far the only, MINERGIE®-certified printing works in Switzerland.

For environmental reasons and maximum efficiency, Printlink – the Linkgroup unit specialised in high-end offset printing – works with joint venture partner J.E. Wolfensberger under one roof. Together we are able to make optimum use of the available space. The printing centre was designed and built back in 2004 entirely in line with MINERGIE® requirements. Linkgroup’s Printlink facility makes it the first MINERGIE®-certified company in the Swiss graphic arts industry. A heat-insulated shell made of Swiss timber reduces the building’s energy consumption by 25 per cent, more than required by the MINERGIE® standards. Heat recovered from the printing shop provides 70 per cent of the energy used to heat the building. A combination of measures has reduced energy consumption by 60 per cent compared with previous levels. And these efforts are being optimised on a continuous basis. For example, the lighting system is to be made even more efficient. And the possibility of using the 600 m2 roof for a photovoltaic installation is being looked into.

We are certified by the FSC. We guarantee print media made with paper from responsible forestry, and if desired can label them with the FSC logo. At www.fsc-paper.org you will find a list of FSC papers, which is updated on a constant basis. Please contact Marc Lehmann for more information.
