Linkgroup is a member of XBRL.ch, an alliance dedicated to promoting XBRL in Switzerland. XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) is an Internet programming language developed on the basis of XML. It combines technology and reporting know-how to generate key advantages. XBRL allows the information required by management and stakeholders to be prepared and used more rapidly, effectively and cost-efficiently. For example it enables target audiences in the financial community to directly compare the figures of one company with those of its competitors, online. In some countries outside Switzerland the new standard has already become established. This development is being supported and encouraged by financial analysts, stock exchanges, regulatory and tax authorities, commercial registries and statisticians. XBRL solutions will also become the norm in Switzerland once stock exchange bodies such as FINMA and SIX and the tax authorities introduce requirements in this direction.
