Use for information purposes
If you use this website without otherwise transmitting data to us (for example by registering or using the contact form), we will collect only the technically required data transmitted automatically to our server (for example your IP address, the date and time of your request, browser type and operating system). These data are required for technical reasons to be able to display our website to you. If this affects personal data, Article 6 para 1 f) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for data processing.

Use of cookies
We use cookies to make our website better and easier to use. Cookies are text files that are sent via your web browser and stored on your computer when you visit a website. This makes it possible to recognise the session, for example when you’re permanently logged into a website or are using the shopping basket function of an online shop. Most web browsers accept cookies automatically. You can delete cookies that have been saved any time via your web browser settings. You can also set your browser to block cookies. However, if you do so you might not be able to use all the functions of our website.

Contact form
On our website you can enter personal data via a contact form. If you use the contact form we collect and store the data that you enter in the relevant entry fields (e.g. your last and first name and your email address). These data will not be forwarded to third parties. If you consent, Article 6 para 1 a) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing your data. If your request is preparatory to entering into a contract, Article 6 para 1 b) of the GDPR serves as an additional legal basis for processing your data. We use your data only to process and respond to your request.

Newsletter
You can subscribe to a newsletter on our website. If you use the contact form we collect and store the data that you enter in the relevant entry fields (e.g. your last and first name and your email address). These data will not be forwarded to third parties. Subscription to the newsletter is possible only with your consent. Article 6 para 1 a) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing your data. We use this data only for the purpose of sending newsletters.

We provide the following information on the content of our newsletter, the registration, transmission and statistical analysis procedures, and your rights of objection.

By subscribing to our newsletters you consent to receiving them and to the procedure described.

a) Content of the newsletter
We send out newsletters containing project-specific information from our company only with the recipient’s consent.

b) Registration
You register for our newsletter via a double opt-in procedure. This means that once you have registered you receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary to ensure that no one can register using other people’s email addresses.
Registrations to our newsletter are logged to be able to demonstrate that the process was compliant with the relevant legal requirements. This includes recording and storing the date and time of registration and confirmation and the IP address.

c) Registration data
To register for our newsletter it is sufficient to provide your last and first name (to enable you to be addressed in person) and your email address.

d) Statistical analysis
Newsletters contain a so-called web beacon that is retrieved by our server when the newsletter is opened. Initially this involves collecting technical information such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval. This information is used to improve the technical performance of services based on their specifications or audience and their reading habits, based on their locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.

Statistical surveys also include determining whether a newsletter has been opened, when it was opened and what links were clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, it is not our desire to observe individual users. Rather, we use the analysis to identify the reading habits of our users and adapt our content to them or to send different content according to the interests of our users.

e) Unsubscribing/revoking consent
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time; in other words, you can revoke the consents you have given. You will find a link to unsubscribe at the end of every newsletter.

Comment function
You can comment on the content of our website. If you comment on content we collect and store the data that you enter in the relevant entry fields (e.g. your last and first name and your email address). These data will not be forwarded to third parties. If you consent, Article 6 para 1 a) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing your data. These data are collected for the purposes of enforcing our rules on comments.

Storage periods
We process and store your data only for as long as necessary for processing or compliance with statutory obligations. Your data will be blocked or erased once the purpose of processing no longer applies. If there are additional statutory obligations to store data, we will block or erase your data once the statutory retention periods have elapsed.

Your rights
You have the following statutory rights vis-à-vis us in relation to the personal data that affect you:

a) Right of access
As the data subject you have the right to obtain from us confirmation as to whether or not we are processing personal data concerning you. If we are doing so you, have the right to access these personal data and to additional information, for example the purposes of the processing, the recipients, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored or the criteria used to determine that period.

As the data subject you have the right to obtain erasure of your data if they are not necessary for the purposes of processing. This applies, for example, if your data are no longer necessary for the original purposes for which they were collected, if you have withdrawn your legal consent, or if the data have been unlawfully processed.

Where personal data are processed for direct marketing purposes, as the data subject you have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing, which includes profiling to the extent that it is related to such direct marketing.

g) Right to withdraw your legal consent
You can withdraw your consent to processing of your personal data at any time with future effect. However, the withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Added to this you may at any time lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that our processing of your data is not compliant with the data protection regulations.

Google Analytics
To be able to analyse and improve use of our website, we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, text files that are stored on your computer that enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information the cookie generates on your use of this website will generally be transferred to a Google server in the United States and stored there. If IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated within the area of Member States of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the whole IP address be first transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use all the information transmitted to evaluate your use of the website and put together reports on website activity, and provide the website operator with other services in connection with the use of the website and the internet.

Under no circumstances will Google make a link between your IP address and other Google data.

You can set your browser software to prevent cookies from being saved; however, we would point out that if you do so it may not be possible for you to make full use of all the functions of this website. We use Google Analytics extended with the “anonymizeIp()” function. This means that IP addresses are truncated (so-called IP masking) so that reference to particular persons can be ruled out.

Google participates in the EU-US Privacy Shield frameworks, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. This ensures that an adequate level of data protection is in place in exceptional cases where Google transfers personal data to the United States.

Article 6 para 1 f) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing your data with the help of Google Analytics.
