Longer-term annual report concept:
a single theme running through the business
BVZ Holding AG is a Brig-based listed company that provides regional transport services and adventure travel (including the Matterhorn Gotthard and Gornergrat railways). Added to this are the Matterhorn Täsch Terminal and the Täsch-Zermatt shuttle, the Furka and Oberalp car transport services, freight transport and BVZ’s emerging real estate business.
In 2012 BVZ Holding AG was considering changing its reporting to a company rather than a business area basis.
After evaluating the pros and cons, Linkgroup’s consultants advised sticking to the existing approach and continuing to report along business area lines. The slogan for the concept of the new annual report was “reduce to the max”. The annual report opens with a different strategic theme each year, which then runs through the rest of the report. For example the first edition of the annual report answered the question of how quickly Zermatt can be reached from cities around Europe. As a component of the annual reporting each year the company issues a corporate portrait taking readers through the many facets of the business and giving inspiring insights into BVZ Holding. The portrait and the annual report itself constitute an integrated whole.
An interesting, easily digestible online and print business report giving readers a more in-depth insight into the development of the group’s operations. The accompanying portrait rounds off the reporting and can be used the rest of the year as well. Linkgroup has been a partner to BVZ Holding for many years, and in its capacity as an agency and media services provider has delivered various other projects for the company on a one-stop basis.
