Rethinking innovation

The owner-managed Swiss company’s vision and mission statement is “Innovators work with Kistler”. As part of a comprehensive branding initiative, the company is optimising its integrated communications approach. In the pitch for the newly defined umbrella image campaign, Linkgroup impressed the client with the pivotal idea “What if...?”. Generative AI was used for visual support.

Client’s wish

Kistler was looking for a suitable partner to develop and support the implementation of a global multi-channel umbrella image campaign. The centrepiece of the campaign, an image video, was to be accompanied by promotional measures such as ads, posters and banners for print and web. As part of the integrated communications, an employer branding campaign conceived by Kistler was to be developed and designed visually and textually in parallel. For both campaigns, Kistler wanted manuals in the form of booklets serving as a guide to implementation at the company’s various sites.

Solution

How do you convince a company that completely embodies its role as a leader in innovation? By focusing just as closely on innovative solutions. When pitching the core idea for the umbrella campaign, Linkgroup harnessed the power of generative AI: image sequences generated with AI tools were used to visually support the presentation of the guiding concept of the campaign. The visuals, prompted with the AI image generation tool Midjourney, were able to convey the campaign idea developed by Linkgroup concisely and convincingly, making a great impression on the client.

Process

Kistler produced the image video based on the campaign idea and the mood images visualised by Linkgroup. The Stuttgart-based film production company bateau blanc (www.bateaublanc.com) was responsible for project management and delivery. Linkgroup developed the key visuals and core messages for the comprehensive multi-channel campaign and was jointly responsible for the design of the print ads, posters, online ads and banners.
